If more people asked to see insurance, references etc I think it would be good.

 

The only people who would have trouble doing that are the types who we all moan about.

 

Be polite, show them what they asked for and demonstrate how professional you are.

It's good advertising, PR etc.

A matter of scale I guess.

 

A fence panel or roof sheet, I'd probably elect to remedy without recourse to claims procedure and potential premium increase.

 

Tree on house, different story, but the choice of wether to submit a claim still rests with the insured which is what I was alluding to.

 

Touch wood, not a situation I've had to deal with so far.

 

For damage of the scale you mention in most cases the cost would be covered by the client simply withholding part or all payment. I think clients wish to see insurance incase of a major incident such as a person injured, services damaged, etc.

What's the problem, I carry all he is asking for in the truck, plus employers liability. We should educate people to ask more often and raise the bar in our under valued industry to do away with the chancers or make them raise there game and join the real world.

 

Cough up or be looked at as a cow boy would be my answer
