my first pair of sips were great but the second pair seemed to fall apart in no time. Got some pfanner arborist at the moment and they have been worth every penny. Just over a year now and still going strong which for me is good

Got a set of pfanner gladiators which I've had for two years and not really showing any major signs of wear, probably get another two years out of them. They're what I'd go for

I have a pair of Stein Kreiger Arborist type C for climbing and a cheap pair of Oregon Yukon for groundwork/forestry. I'll definitely replace the Stein with the same again when the time comes, can't fault the Yukon either, cheap as chips but when they're covered in sawdust and mud they look just like anything else.

 

Depends on how many features you want and whether you're concerned with how fashionable they look, for me a couple of pockets does fine although I might look at the cheap Husqvarna Classic type A when the time comes to replace the Yukons as the Husqvarna have vents on the leg (of course that may be just something to break?)

I got a pair of Husqvarna Functional Type As for the hotter weather and they are great. I paid about £110 all in from Radmore and Tucker's.

I'll check those out, a bit more expensive than the Classic (Classic £71.50 Forest & Arb) so I'll see what the difference is.

Depends whats you're doing.

If its mainly ground work with the occasional climbing I'd go for Pfanner Gladiators all day.

If its more climbing your guess is as good as mine. Most Type C trousers seem to feel like wet bog roll so Stihl Hi Flex are a good bet as they're cheep as chips.

I'm a 32/32 in jeans and the medium sip innovations are perfect for me

I'm about 5,9 and I've got innovations. M and the fit is perfect. I've had them since Nov last year and the crotch has only just started to go. A hole about an inch diameter under the zip area. Apart from the left hand zip lasting a week, the odd spike wound at the bottom and a exhaust burn they are great.
