Plenty of fluid intake. I think a pair of Hiflex can hold about 5L of water... or at least they feel like they do.

Beyond 20c I never wear chainsaw trousers (though I only ever do forestry in winter/spring these days). I overheat extremely easily, and maintaining concentration creates a lower risk than me overheating but having my legs protected.

Looks unprofessional for starters, he's not on holiday, he's at work, plus there's a lot of flying debris whilst grinding, he could have worn jeans, no issue with that.

 

Doesnt it depend on the particular pair of shorts why not suggest getting proper work shorts from the likes of engelbert strauss

I have a pair and they look like uniform they even do matching embroidered tshirts definitely not dcruffy then

I wore shorts cos I was fencing today, but first had to pick up some hedge cuttings from a job someone did for me yesterday.

Got there and the bushes hadn't been cut low enough, needs must so I fired up the topper and took off another 12 inches so the bushes were below the bottom of the windows like I had told him. The cleaning company owner who I was working for turned up didn't bat an eyelid and was happy with the work we had done. If I'd had known I would have worn my jeans.

Will I go to prison?

Perhaps someone should invent a pair of water cooled chainsaw trousers for v hot weather. Might be a bit heavy though 😃

Not arb related, but on me hols, stood on the back of me barge for a good few hours in this heat was a grouler, so found a nice little stream near the canal to cool off in.
