31 degrees today & was tempted to get into shorts for groundwork. Was talked out of it by no 1 son as it was a domestic job & wouldn't look good as well as a bit foolish....

Chainsaw trousers are a hazard in themselves in the heat IMO. Is it worth taking the risk not wearing them though?

I binned me chainsaw trousers shortly after lunch and put on a light pair of trousers as me groundie took over felling and i fed the chipper ferra change.

Looks unprofessional for starters, he's not on holiday, he's at work, plus there's a lot of flying debris whilst grinding, he could have worn jeans, no issue with that.

I just pretend I've got to go quoting and leave the lads to it.... I wish.

 

But I have supplied them with fronts for the ground should they choose to change once the climbing works done. And I don't have a problem if the get it all down ASAP and snedded out. Then change into their arbor wear trousers and chip, rake up, lift wood.

Well I did some milling yesterday ( not as hot I know) and nappy rash at 51 due to PPE is not funny, however the alternatives are worse, and I do it for fun not a living. PPE is there for a reason, uncomfortable or not, imho.
