It seems that The conservatives are happy to nick policies they derided as a step back to marxism in order to steal peoples votes:

It also show's quite clearly that the media cannot be trusted to deliver anything other than their own political agenda.

Fox hunting - Looks like Theresa Mayhem is keen to bring back the slaughter of innocent animals in the name of sport.

Shocking.

Theresa May announces she wants to bring back fox hunting | The Independent

I'm not sure the headline "Theresa May announces she wants to bring back fox hunting" quite stands up to the basic scrutiny of watching the associated video clip though...

She's entitled to her opinion of course and a free vote is the best of a bad deal.

This should not be occupying Parliamentary time but is a sterling example of the pernicious influence exerted by the CLA & NFU.

There had to be something we'd be able to agree on Mark - :thumbup1:

Quite right, the media always print anything that suits their own political agenda. Reminds me of your Guardian post last night!!!

Yup I read of the suspected link between hunting hounds and Bovine TB also.

Horrible stuff.

What kind of person enjoys seeing foxes ripped apart? I appreciate the need for vermin control, but someone with a gun could easily do that.

As an aside:

What do you think about the blatant turn around on Electricity pricing, and the switch of the Daily Fail in promoting it?

The only genuine positive that can be derived from it is the distribution of population - a strong, healthy fox out running the hunt and being displaced to an adjacent breeding area breaking a potential inbreeding and weakening cycle that might otherwise exist - that was offered by an old farmer I was discussing the issue with and I think it holds some water - but not enough!

It's panic stricken, knee jerk, headline grabbing sensationalism - now, by the Tories, just as it was previously by Labour.

It's a sideshow. Granted, the ability to save 100's should be clearly apparent to everybody - if someone is too idle to do it for themselves... (you know what comes next!) This type of trivia belongs on MoneyExpert.com not political manifestos.

On the subject of newsprint and political agendas, you make a valid point with the Mail apparently changing sympathy over energy, but equally, the Independent is guilty of stretching the reality by headlining May announces return to fox hunting - that's not at all what she said....

They're all at it, what ever colour or flavour, they're as bad as each other but you have to recognise it both in stories you might support as well as those you oppose.
