Yeah, good argument. We should all just use google so that Google can sell our browsing history to advertisers.

You really must think people came down with the last shower.

I also use duck duck go. I use it because I don't trust google. They are hard left wing, they censor free speech and the have an absolutely monopoly on how information is sourced, presented or hidden.

Even if google were more centrist, as I am, I would still avoid using them as it seems logical to me that information should be provided, streamed, whatever you want to call it, by a huge diversity of players.

And no I'm not into anything perverted. I can't stand sexual perverts of any description. They make me sick.

Aye, but it's been shown that humans rationalisation and decision making areas of their brains aren't fully developed till the early to mid twenties.  That's why you see so many people going off the rails around then.  Nothing to do with mankinds fallen nature.

How has “it’s been shown” ?

On the ‘evolving into better people through scientific understanding’ theory.... how come in the western world with our technology, medical scientific advances, etc... we’ve forgotten how to and stopped caring about the elderly and we are content to discard them into ‘care homes’ and stand by while they freeze to death in their homes.
The sad fact is that our ‘scientifically advanced and evolved’ culture could learn a thing or two from more ‘primitive’ cultures on how to care for our elderly.

More links to dubious sources..

Dubious sources???

You couldn't find a more qualified person to report on this. He is one of the most highly respected scientists and thinkers on the planet.

at what point do think that humans will have evolved out of their violent, selfish tendencies? You’ll forgive me if I don’t hold my breath. emoji56.png

Humans haven't themselves evolved, their moral framework has, and has to.

We started to get significantly more civilised from the enlightenment period onwards when we started to value reason and science over myth and superstition.

Honestly, is this the type of guy you are? Criticising people because of what search engine they use? I know we've had some "frank" online exchanges in the past. However I've always warmed to you as a person. However you're getting me  close to typing in "master baker" into duck duck and posting a resultant image in response to your posts....

And people’s behaviour as a result has significantly improved?

Civilised? We can kill and exploit people in much more refined ways, perhaps and be detached from it, but the basic problems with human nature remain completely unchanged.

I think you warmed to me because you know what I say is correct....

Don't be silly and post your mater baker image again. It really does make you look silly.
