I'm sure immigration makes a difference in house prices but lots of investors are buying up houses in the city and never, or very rarely living in them, or renting them out. There are some streets in RBoKC that have full time private security guards because no one lives there.

Look up 'live in guardians', these are private security companies that are really security guards by another name...... Plenty of them guarding empty houses in K&C.
