Weirdly I would dispute that, take the retired, their current employment state is the same as a 16 year old (unemployed) school leaver but according to the statistics would be at opposing ends of the political spectrum. From the little you said about your work, take a 16 year old army cadet, freshly signed up (with parents approval of course) - very different political outlook to a General but the same jobs and career path.

I would be much more inclined to believe that parenting and social factors are a much more important factor to your political and life views. It might be that your parents (as an example) influence your outlook on life and with their influence that guides you to any career path you take. Age is another factor, as you age your political outlook veers more to the right, Conservatism (you have more to loose as you get older), younger people are more keen on social justice (less to loose, no mortgage (especially now), lower earnings and a parent safety net).

So reiterating, current, past or future employment in an irrelevance to this part of this thread.

I've decided what job to do on Monday by the way - if you are still obsessed by then I'll let you know.

Everyone on here knows what my job is and what I do, “ from the little you said about your work “ that’s an absolute belter SP pure and utter crap I’m not obsessed SP I just asked a simple question you literally for whatever reason can’t or won’t answer. If you can’t then don’t reply or just ignore my posts rather than relentless BS games. I never asked what you did I asked about employment status.

Angry much?

... and anyones employment status is an irrelevance to be honest. I did answer. Tonight, I will be self employed, refer to my earlier answer as to my role.

It makes you wonder why they all even bother with the pretense at all. Surely no one actually falls for it.

Here's an idea. How about a wealth/income eligibility bar on all prospective Prime Ministers? Say £10 grand above the national average, or maybe £50k if we're feeling really generous. In conjunction with a CV that includes some real jobs that require actual real work. That ought to clear out all the rich Oxbridge PPE degree weilding parasites. Just a thought.

So you're saying a prime minister can't have earned more than 50k? So not only will we get rid of the elitist parasites we will also get rid of anyone competent of doing the job!

sadly "competency" doesn't seem to be a prerequisite :(

No you didn’t answer everyone can see you didn’t answer, BS games unfortunately is your level. I seem to recall a reference to office life a while back but then again anything you say has to be taken with a liberal pinch of salt. Your theory about upbringing etc holds no water as my early years were in a mining village in the north east of England 🤷‍♂️not exactly a conservative or right wing heartland.

Wow, no wonder the country is in the shitter.

Well at least I know it’s not just me you  do your solo question and answer BS exaggerating routine with.

Very very unlikely to be the same job or career path?

I meant £50 grand above the national average salary, but no matter.
