All joking aside I did a job this morning, got called late last night, turns out it will be a big insurance claim, (whole bungalow flooded) I'm going to bang the price up. I've been given an inch and I'll take a yard, but he's beyond the pale.

Arsehole tax?

No, the fact that I can. The insurance assessor, the drying out company, the Asbestos removal company were all there. If they can all run with the money so will I.

I've found that it's prudent to price high when dealing with insurance companies. Yin and Yang and that.

Eggs, I did say "mostly".

As in I knew a brother and sister;

Alf left Cavan aged 16 or 17 and went to Australia, but when he came home after 50 or 60 years away, one would have sworn that he had never left Cavan.

On the other hand, his sister Joyce, moved up to NI from Cavan, lived local here all her life, but after spending a week in England visiting relatives near Birmingham, came back with a Brummie dialect.

The difference was quite astounding.

So, "mostly".

cheers

If it walks like a duck, swims like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck.

if it doesn't it probably a pretence from  Dickinson times.

‘King shite, it’s called milking the system.

Its what everyone does but those that don’t do it quite as well as some others do still do it whilst whining about others that do it better.

The ‘king neck of some (sanctimonious, hypocrites with so called socialist tendency) people...

So youse lot are why our never been claimed on in 40 years household insurance premiums are so unreasonably high!

Just saying like!

When you've worked for yourself, got called out at silly o'clock on a Saturday night/Sunday morning to clear someone else's shit up I'll give you the time of day. While you are a retired fuckwit that spent his life working for the council trying to tell those below you where they were going wrong, well I humour you.

This will be an insurance job, I'll wait months for my money, not getting paid on the last Friday of the month while the company I work for will not be paying me holiday/sick pay/company vehicle/final salary pension.

Its like when you run a red light and think "That was a bit of a naughty one", only to look in your rear view and see another 5 cars trooping through behind you.

If you can charge a good price then I dont see why you shouldnt, makes good business sense to me.
