Why can't you understand that importing several million extra people over the last 20 years has increased the strain on doctors and the NHS in general? Your first post seemed to say Brexiteers were unintelligent and  spreading misinformation if they highlight the extra strain placed on GPs and the health service in general because of immigration. It's like your saying people who think immigration is causing problems with NHS capacity are just wrong. You say things like 'lying shitbags'.

In this instance the drop in GP’s is the reason for the report, not the rise in population that has been happening globally that everyone is aware of, but the first thing you post are immigration figures?

I am referring to lying shitbags like Mr. Farage who will see this exactly like you do.

so you don't see that if those 2 million immigrants over the last 10 years hadn't come the fall in GP numbers would have far less impact?  As a starting point at 60 GPs  per 100,000 - those 2000000 new immigrants in the last ten years need 1200 GPs.

How is that logic wrong? Think before you reply.

Of course population increase affects the ratio, this report simply states that the recent drop has made the ratio the worst level it has been.

May I point out also that the population increase is not purely down to immigrants, British people breed as well and we are also living longer.

We are experiencing a downturn in GP numbers - meh, not exactly ‘hot’ news.

The has been a historic failure to plan and recover to a better level - meh, not exactly hot news.

Adding +/- 300k bodies per year to a population is

(a) ameliorating the existing problem

or

(b) exacerbating the existing problem?

Situation not too hard to grasp really....

It seems that it is, though.

Depends on how many of them are GP’s.

With a points based immigration system they could all be. Of course there wouldn’t be 300k of them though and it would only leave the moral dilemma of asset stripping other nations.....  Can’t help but think of the anti Empire brigade and their collective self imposed guilt trip in such a scenario ?

And how many of them breed way above replacement rate once they arrive. I wish I was in charge so I could sentence you to live out the rest of your life in central Birmingham for your thought crimes against the indiginous

I can’t think of a reason why a skills based points system cannot be put in place, I have also never met anyone who is apposed to one.

It makes you wonder who the present system benefits the most?

Maybe we should lobby our local MP’s and get the points system put into their manifestos.

I think the Lib Dem’s would be back in business with the Tory vote swing if they had a points system in their plans.
