It’s not an intrinsic human right that the value of property will always go up.

The value of investments can go down as well as up.

There’s always jeopardy.

Why won't they buy your house?

Nobody knows what's coming. Lithium mines in Weardale are currently displacing loads of people. Who knew lithium would be so valuable?

That would admit fault I guess mark

The process is in hand at the moment with environmental health etc involved as well as others.
Id happily take compulsory purchase

It was never an investment Mick it was the end house hence the time and money that’s gone into it. The  value of the property has been massively adversely affected by the actions of SSEN nothing else . Give me full market value pre line upgrade and I’ll walk away 🤷‍♂️alternatively I suck it up and watch my family having to live with that crap.day in day out.  That I’m not prepared to do.

Yeah, it sucks when you make a life for yourself somewhere and then circumstances change, so you have to up sticks and move.

It’s not too bad

place I’ve got in mind is only a mile or so away. Thanks for your concern though, very unexpected.

I've not really been following this story, it's a bit tedious, but isn't it a case of state regulation? Or lack thereof? Sounds like another example of big companies, utility companies especially, being allowed to ride rough shod over normal hardworking working people who are just trying to get on in life. Those same people who pay their wages, those customers who they're meant to be serving. Just like the water companies being allowed to dump shit wherever they want, or gas companies being allowed to make ridiculous profits whilst ripping off their bill payers or train companies being allowed steal money for trains that don't work, or indeed HS2 being allowed to rip out 1000s of acres of ancient woodland, for nothing.

A decent government wouldn't have allowed stuff like that to happen. These companies like SSE wouldn't be able to do what the fck they liked across the land, other people's land.

BRSK are another one. A new internet company on the block who are putting up infrastructure all over the country. They seem to be able to put poles up wherever they like, not even local councils have any say apparently.

So it's actually nothing to do with renewable energy, or net zero. Not a direct consequence at least.

It's just a shame that it'll probably be that that sends them to prison, if anything, ever, and not the rest of their general shitebaggery.

never herd of them what do they do to make so much money ?

I'm not exactly sure but it revolves around abusing and taking advantage of women mainly I think. Plus persuading easily influenced men to give them lots of money. Oh, and not paying tax evidently!
