Dave Hinton, owner of a timber company in north-west England, said he had a consignment of French oak stuck on a ship.

The oak had been sent from France for reprocessing into veneered flooring in China, and was on its way back to a customer in Britain, Hinton said.

“I’ve spoken to my customer and told him the bad news that his floor was blocking the Suez Canal. He didn’t believe me, he thought I was pulling his leg,” he told BBC radio on Friday.

My wife has a jar of this extra old rubbish, saved for her brother in Sweden (whenever were actually allowed to go over there).

What's it worth to you?! 😝

Is that your hand or your lovely wife’s hand J?

If it’s your shovel like hands that could be a 500g jar looking tiny with your hands as scale.

If however it’s a wife or child’s hand you may be trying to ‘adjust’ scale and visual reference in order to create the illusion of a 500g jar which is actually 200g?

In either case - that XO stuff is black gold! Never mind bitcoin, you’re sat on your retirement fund there!!

VEGEMITE!

Id rather vote Lib Dem!

The wife said she’d seen a supermarket ‘own brand’ but thought better of it!

Saved 1000s in divorce fees 😂

Will ask her to try Tesco online though!

Delivery spot booked for tomorrow!

Min spend £40

8 jars booked! They only seem to have the 250g not the 500g 😒

Make up the difference in red wine!

Now that really is AT at its best!

@Big J your pension pot just took a hit 😂

Cheese, peanut butter, Marmite & mayonnaise sandwich is my snack of choice when (as often happens) I have to get up in the night to eat 😂

For anyone with any doubt that @kevinjohnsonmbeis a bit of a strange chap, he goes and panic buys Marmite. Any further suggestion that Kev is anything other than odd should be immediately struck from the record. 😀

At the risk of creating controversy, 8 jars is not panic buying.....It's forward thinking 🙂
