Bollocks. I'm not going to live in ignorance. I'm going to learn, I'm going to work on my self improvement and I'm going to stand up here and say that you and the others spouting nonsense about these issues are wrong.

I have no doubt that several others will come bundling in to support you and chuck insults at me but I'm certain that I am not the only one with these points of view in this forum and I want to show that there is an alternate narrative to the heavy right wing bias here.

You prove the point in your second sentence.

You are attempting to project your perception of ‘ignorance’ upon those that disagree with your narrative.

You're perfectly entitled to hold what ever opinion you chose. Attempting to denigrate anyone that holds an alternative pov is not acceptable. Surly the irony of your apparent position isn’t lost on you?  Or are you so far indulged in your white privilege guilt?

You hold your opinion, I wouldn’t presume to call you ignorant on account of it.

I’ll form, hold and express my own opinion and it really doesn’t matter what you think about it.

I just laugh at ‘em Egger.

We’ve had plenty of differences of opinion (and I’m sure there’ll be more in the future) but I wouldn’t presume to call you ignorant or intimate that you are uneducated just because we disagree.

Correct Kev, and I don't think I've ever dissed you. Working short nights down in Kent (eventually) is giving me too much time for sarcasm. Hope you n yours are well.

I'm old, failed at school and only got political after brexit so am well behind the curve. Would appreciate your views on this:

Donald Trump has declared war on US democracy. Can he be stopped?

I think that article pretty much hits the nail on the head.

This quote rings particularly true: 'The problem for the US left and progressive movements is that they have: a) no strategy to fight what is happening; and b) no institution that could embody that strategy and centralise the response to what Trump is trying to do.'

'Lefties' aren't usually the type to have an arsenal of weaponry at their disposal.

Do you have any links to these claims? Last I looked we had a hundred and seventy odd deaths a day in the UK. Are you saying that the whole of the EU combined has less deaths per day than that? I find that very hard to believe. And again, it surely comes down to how the deaths are recorded, it seems some countries are recording deaths by C-19 and some where its a factor.

But I agree, we're being told a pack of lies. With the US in Melt Down and at the supposed height of the pandemic the whole country decided to completely ignore safe distancing and in fact the complete opposite is happening yet NY is stating they had zero confirmed C-19 cases yesterday. SO in the UK with measures in place 170+ deaths a day. NY with zero measures in place and zero deaths?

Sounds like its all a crock of shite to me. I'll leave the cowering at home to others.

Like China, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, etc etc. The populations of these countries tend to not have guns, thats because they take them away from their people and then rule them with an iron fist.

What does that link show other than the deaths in the UK?
