Thought I'd be helpful & return 2 pairs of ally crutches we seem to have collected. One pair never used, still in plastic wrap inc instructions for use, the other pair had minimal use, so really no wear whatsover. Nice woman at local A & E said 'Please take them home or just bin/scrap them'. Apparently someone (greedy ambulance chasing money grabbing lawyer?) recently sued NHS after falling on newly issued crutches which, tsk tsk...had been used before. This must be costing the NHS blooming thousands if its a national directive. Couldn't see them binned so they're back in the cellar.:001_rolleyes:

This has been going on for years , I occasionally deliver to a place that has all sorts of medical equipment , and there is always a skip full of alloy crutches and zimmer frames etc apparently once issued they can not be re-used , seems a ridiculous waste !
