On the whole, tractors fitted with front pto run them in the opposite direction to the rear. Occasionally manufacturers can set up to run the same, or, you can fit a gear box to reverse the drive to make it the same as the rear.

 

Without "anticlock" running most chippers, processors etc is a no go.

Pretty much, yes. The crank turns in opposite directions if viewed from front or rear, and this determines pto rotation.

 

 

I did try and make my comment as sarcastic as I possibly could, but obviously missed by some.

 

The point was, I'm sure someone else had given an explanation in the post before.👍
