Haven't been out with the shotguns for a long time but I'm getting back into air rifle shooting, took a nice pigeon out the bottom of the garden yesterday... Fried with a bit of garlic, salt, pepper and olive oil... Even the girlfriend was surprised that pigeon tastes rather nice!

Pinkfoot, d'ya know Colin who used to make a lot o charcoal for big k near Whittington? Think he just does his own now

Big k at Whittington have a massive operation there now,I would thing one of biggest players in the country. Kriss started off more than 30 years ago from very humble beginnings, and built it all up .

They've been big for a long time, when I first burned 18 or so yrs ago they wer importing huge amounts from abroad, they bought coppice cord we cut from Norfolk wildlife trust etc sent it to Colin to charcoal for the easy light trays as most of the imported stuff was to dense for them, I think he had about 7 9' double ring kilns and a few 7' singles ( I bought 2 of em off him). Did own stuff as well great work ethic! I remember big k burned down a few years ago?
