Ive had a pair of the Klima air ones, NOT the new bright red ones, The black ones with the red inside and red laces and stitching round the sole, I can honestly say they're THE worst boots ive ever had, Thought they were ok at first but then it rained, even though i dubbed them regularly they leaked like mad, Even though they were only 2 months old, Maybe i just had a bad pair, Im not sure, They ended up in the bin and i bought a pair of Haix trekkers off justin:thumbup1:

Cant comment on the airstrems or the new klima air bright red boots tho.

The klima air tirol fighters are not water proof sure they have thick waterproof leather but no waterproof membrane.

The airstreams are good so arre the new klima air boots both have waterproof lining. Personally i'd go for the slightly lighter (and cheaper) Meindl wauldlaffers good boots made by a proper boot manafacturer.

hmmm i spent an hour in a boat that had a ft of water in the bottom on friday in my klima airs that i have never waxed and my feet where pretty dry .... i have waded in previous pairs loads when fly fishing my feey have got wet but i would expect any boots but waders to do the same...

I was told in the shop that they were 100% waterproof Marc :confused1: they obviously had me over

I could be wrong it is known from time to time:laugh1: I thought they didn't have a membrame just very high qaulity thick waterproof leather and some sort of speccial stitching technique to the sole to keep water out. Thing is with this type of high qaulity i guess hand made or partially hand made boot there will be inconsistencies some will be extremely waterproof others the stiching may not be so tight and let water in.

A good qaulity Event or gor-tex lining is just more reliable but still not 100%
