Anybody got any tips on getting bags of logs on transit tipper without having to handball them haven't got a big enough budget to buy at tractor e.t.c was thinking possibly a engine crane if high enough ?

Get an old electric forklift. Can pick one up for £1k easy. Save loads of time messing about using the wrong tools.

It really is false economy to mess around with something that doesn't do the job properly. Anyway, spending money on a tool for work is tax deductible, so can be considered 'free' and will earn its outlay in no time.

We use a chain takle block hoist thingy hanginging off a steel beam. Lift bag. back the truck under. Lower it down. Simplezz

how about a cheap swinglift type thingy mounted to the truck?

How do you stack the bags if you've no means of moving them? Doesn't seem much point in using bags if you can't move them around to stack and store them

the hand crank hoists that bolt to the chassis are not that expensive I think and also looks better if you set the bag down tidy at the customer rather then slide it out of a tipper.
