I'm fairly new to the firewood game but i'm massing quite a pile in the dutch barn all hardwoods. What do we think is a reasonable price per cubic metre?

Apologies if there's a thread on this already......

Look at what those around you are currently charging, but be aware of the volumes they are selling. A dumpy bag for example round here seems to be a 700x700x700 bag so about .35 of a cube.

Dont be a busy fool, you are in the game to make money not be busy as hell and make nothing.

Depends on what people around you charge and your overheads/wood quality. We just put our prices up to the equivalent of £67 a cube and that's the average price locally but in other areas it can be double that.

I don't bother with what other people are charging there is a guy 15-20 miles away doing 4 cube for £250 I still sell mine at £120 just work out your costs and put on what profit you think it's worth and let the others worry about your prices.

Hard to say what you should charge.

We get £100 plus a fiver delivery if only one cube, thats for very dry hardwood and probably the most expensive around here. Trying to work out what others charge is tricky though as most charge by the "load" whatever that is and you never know how dry it is.
