Instead of all the negative rubbish,

How about- real life situation, that appears to have tested the action plans of all involved, and it appears to me to have been a great success, a quick calm evac etc

A great show of our emergency services ( and stadium staff )

Not saying that the security on the day didn't do a fantastic job. To get the whole stadium evacuated in the time they did is top notch. It just seems strange that they'd not know that it was a training bomb and call for a planned detonation if there was training the same week.

does anyone know what actually happened, did some monkey get the job of hiding the pretend bomb and then forget where he put it, or did the rest of the security team get bored looking and went home? just curious.

I don't know but surely the dummy bombs needed to be signed in and out to stop this sort of thing?

And surely a dummy bomb needs some sort of marking to show its dummy like weapons do?

And to top it off you'd have thought the bomb disposal squad would have inspected the bombs before deciding they need exploding? No?

dummy bombs do need to be signed for and here is where the error occurred.

on the news earlier it was stated that the person who signed for the bombs signed away for 14 when only 13 were there.

makes sense for a dummy to be marked as such but bomb makers could copy this could they not?

One the news, the guy said he had a number of dummies and had left one in a holdall. On collecting the dummies used during the exercise, he'd looked in the bag and assumed the suspect one, to be the one still in the bag. There doesn't appear to be a numbering system in use on that day.

On the news there were 2 bombs mentioned? One in the toilets and 1 under a seat.

Yes fair point they could copy the mark of a dummy bomb but if no dummies missing from lock ups then it'll just be classed as real.

How did they find out it was a dummy bomb? Didn't the bomb disposal people blow it up! Surely if it was a dummy bomb the guy who put there would of said so and if it was a dummy why did they blow it up!!!!!!!!!!!!! I recon something does smell fishy. But if it was real fair play the security team did well and the training payed off.
