I was cutting side by side with a guy using a 576xp, both with a 20" bar buried in London plane and he had to look twice at it, very nearly kept up. A very capable saw is all I can saw and very well balanced

These are all superb saws, in my opinion the best out there when all aspects are considered, the fact that they are a joy to own helps.

Got the 390 and the 501, both excellent, and I've had the 390 over a year now. Not a single problem. Can't really warrant a 620 for what I do, but have used one and would buy in a jiffy if needed. :) :)

I wanted the 620sx with a 18" bar as my one and only. But I decided to go with the dealer rather than the brand! My local dealer wasn't keen on the echo and sells loads of jonsereds. He got a good price on some 2172 ( husky 372xp, first cousin). So I have a good part of one of these paid for. But having read this thread ,I'm concerned I have made the wrong choice. I don't think a change of heart will bother him and I know he will shift the Jonsred anyway and get me the echo instead. Just not sure if I should change my mind.

Just change your mind, it's a great saw:001_smile:

I had a look at the echo's in a local dealer yesterday, they look a bit plasticy, are they robust enough to handle pro work? Not saying they aren't they just look a bit soft.

I'm with Tom, they seem to get good reviews but every time I look at them that shiny plastic make em look poor. Am sure they arnt.
