Finally, after many hours, I have completed the refurb of the entec

as you can see it was pretty neglected. I took loads of advice from this forum, thanks to dean lofthouse for his invaluable thread on replacing the bearings. Also thanks to whoever suggested derek the chipper doctor. He got the no stress device up and running.

to sum up whats been done:

new flywheel bearings and tensioner bearings

new fan blades

new battery

new belts fitted

new mudguards

no stress repaired

sharpened blades

New exhaust

new engine covers

shot blasted and powdercoated the hopper, spout etc and stop bar

new lighting board

repaired wiring so in feed rollers work

new jockey wheel

repaired sheared bolts on ignition panel as well as repairing ignition light

service engine

grease up.

I have not yet chucked anything through it, just hope I have got it set up right!

The only thing I couldnt seem to get working was the little switch on the side of the funnel thats supposed to alter the feed roller speed. Might have to play about a bit more

Looks great, any idea of the total cost out of interest? Would love to do one myself one of these days

Yes. Chipper cost me a grand, and have spent 1800 on parts etc. Most of the replacement bokts I got from toolstation, at a fraction of the cost of timberwolf. Belts and bearings I got locally, again at a fraction of the cost.

I have gone a bit over the top, it didnt really need a new exaust, but I wanted it to look smart!
