Forestry winch

I'm looking to buy a winch to fit on the front of my MOG. Around £2k budget so probably 2nd hand. Does anyone have any recommendations ?

Hydraulic or pto, recovery type or forestry skidding type?

Forestry skidding and I have the option of either. I have front linkage and hydraulics

Mog hydraulics are not up to much so I would go PTO. Down side is you cant go remote.

I put a remote control onto my pto Werner.

Awesome winches if you can pick 1 up.

Most PTO winches have a remote option these days. I'd go for Tajfun..

How does that work? Our mog has a throw over lever like an air handbrake control for the PTO. Is the gubbins and trickery on the winch itself?

Any advice where to get one 2nd hand ? Can't see much on the Internet except a place called tractorpool and there all Europe

Been looking at the Rico winches and look good for the money with different options like hydraulic feed out and remote control in etc, was talking to a lad who had an 8ton and he was very impressed with it
