Been using the Stihl 160T for three weeks now.Love it.The thin kerf and carving type nose make it perfect when pruning and the final cut is so smooth.Great power and with the 300 lithium battery you get plenty of trigger time.No noise or vibes or fumes. It's a pleasure to use!

Ran mine now for over 15 months and love it , the difference in the weight of the batteries is unbelievable, th AP115 battery is so light that you can hardly notice the saw on you BUT its only good for small pruning jobs has it soon runs out of life . I use the AP 180 all the time has its gives a good balance to the saw but has Silky says the bigger 300 battery just goes on and on .

It's a great saw Reg. Biggest differences for me is its considerably quieter than the husky. But it's the chain that really makes the difference. Nothing stopping you running that chain in the husky though I guess

You consider the husky noisy? I've never heard the Stihl but is noise an issue?

I mean they're much much quieter than a petrol saw.

Anyway, used the husky today on a big oak trim and thin. (Only one side over a garden) I absolutely love it, I'm sold, and I'm a Luddite.

No I don't consider it noisy. Its 'whinier' than the Stihl though and over a prolonged period I would probably opt to use ear plugs. Like I said, the Stihl is considerably quieter.
