Ebay issue - any ideas what to do about this one?

Well we seem to have been accidental accessories to ebay fraud.

We recently got a letter registered delivery which contained nothing but a blank piece of paper. No return address or other indication of the sender or its purpose.

The postie had seen a few of these about and dropped in at the weekend to confirm it was part of an ebay fraud where the seller sends out one of these blank letters to a different address in the same postcode instead of the sold item.

The tracking shows that the parcel has been "delivered".

Buyer claims item never arrived (which is correct) and gets a refund from ebay. Seller claims cost of item from Royal Mail.

No they don't I was refunded from ebay funds for an item that was not as described which surprised me as I thought it would have gone back and now I am stuck with a round table cloth when I wanted a square one

 

Quite right, although it would probably be more accurate to say, although they do now technically have a degree of separation they are still urinating in the same container

I've just had another one of those time wasters who bid and won some stuff from me last Thursday, hasn't paid, and not responding to any contact including texts as his mobile which was on his contact details.

Why do they do that, tossers.

You have their address - send an registered post invoice stating you'll put it to small claims court in 7 days. Bids are binding (the hassle of chasing depends in the seller though).
