Chainsaw boots as walking boots?

So if comparing Stein Werewolves to Meindl Airstream do you find, by your experience, that Stein Werewolwes are more comfortable for hiking? The terrain I most hike & walk is forest or hills, not really rocks or mountain..therefore, I think the sole could have at least some flex ability..if possible

 

Further, I do not climb in trees

 

I appreciate any help as this the first time I'm on the market for chainsaw boots.

The werewolves are marketed as a climbing boot. They have chainsaw protection but no toe cap.

 

If you're going to be doing ground work with a saw I wouldn't recommend them.

Yes, ground work + hiking / walking. So is Meindl Airstream therefore what you would recommend in my case? or something else?

I walk/hike in my Airstreams. Bear in mind they’re heavy (it’s often said that a pound on your feet is the same as five on your back).

Meindl woodwalkers are good walking boots.Dont really use em at work anymore so i wear em hill walking or takin the dogs out

So the consensus seems to be Airstreams / Woodwalkers are fairly ok for walking / hiking although not optimal choice due to weight - protection obviously mean more weight, I guess so if I want protection I need to pay the price as a heavier boot..

 

I'd better check the weight comparison between Airstreams / Woodwalkers, though

I bought a pair of Woodwalkers a couple of months ago very lightweight boot to what I have had before.

On scree, steel toecaps and the full rand (Airstreams) are an advantage in my eyes. The rand’s an advantage anywhere.

Woodwalker pro if you are comparing prices you need to put size in as larger sizes are more money.
