Defoes team are third from bottom, but he's always been pretty lively for England.

Rashford looks the business, but it may be a bit early for him.

I think Carroll has had a good enough season to at least be in the mix.

I have no idea about Rooneys form, so I can't really comment there.

Good problems for Hodgson to have, though.

Just to be on the safe side I'd probably go with Keegan and Brooking.

Mark Hateley 'n' all.

Thing is with Dafoe is he's only 33. Has scored key goals regularly for a rubbish side, taken purely on form and goals scored he'd be in the running.

He won't go I know, but Carroll is a bloody useless lump, good championship player (where he had his only decent season)

We are finally starting to play football on the floor. We are moving on from the lump it and run. Caroll has scored one hatrick all season, look of the amount of matches he has played the last few years, barely any. He cannot go.

Rooney is the skipper, he will go and he is still a class act if fully fit.

Strikers should be. Sturridge( but Only) if fully fit and played a run of games.

Vardy and Kane obviously. And I would take Welbeck. If not him then Rashford.

I would also take a couple youngsters not as part of the squad officially but along for the experience.

Rooney shouldn't be anywhere near the team if we have Kane and Vardyin the form they're in. Hes dropping deeper and deeper to try to pull strings in midfield. He's only just back from injury and wasn't exactly pulling up trees before he got injured. We need to pick 11 who work as a team and not just 11 big names. For that reason, I wouldn't take Rooney
