i think it would be a lot stronger and safer than a karribiner. i think it looks pretty good , the only downside i can see is that its permanently on there.

What about the fact that it doesn't have a lock, imagine the worst case, a load came adrift, and someone got hurt, wouldn't want to be trying to defend that one when locking terminations are readily available.

 

For the ubiquitous H&S point of view, that type of connection would be viewed as sacrificing safety for speed.

 

While the "new" system would probably be quicker, the gain in speed would be the time it would take for a biner to snap shut, so no appreciable gain, against a significant sacrifice in safety.

i was assuming it had undergone tests and was deemed fit for purpose ie wouldnt come undone, maybe they are a bit more slack in the states,

The simple fact is the system could be made so much better so why wouldn't you?
