Its a old throw bag , i think the two rings where used too hold the line enough for throwing , but would allow slippage when pulling hard thus releasing the bag.

I would like to add, I practiced for a couple of hours Sunday morning and low and behold I have improved. However my shoulder feels like a truck has hit it, hopefully it won't take 2 hours to hit the mark next time I need to use one.

I find,like you, practicing for two hours every sunday morning before church is the best way forward. As if the practice session goes badly at least I can pray for divine intervention.

Genius, get's the swearing out of the way before Church as well.

I'm rubbish one handed - need to go and get some practice. Much more accurate with cradle throw between the legs. Not bothered if it's not 'normal practice' I'd rather be accurate than look cool
