Impact Wrench

I'm after a new impact wrench, I've a low budget as its for moving the occasional stuck nut.

 

I seem to com across one every time I try to do something and I either end up rounding the head off or breaking the tool. The lastest has been trying to change the discs on my pickup so not much space to get in either.

 

I've been looking at the erbauer ones at screw fix

which seems to pack a punch but I don't think it will get into the tight spaces.

 

Any thoughts? Not used one before so any advice appreciated

Mains powered and its helped me out many a time . I also have a 14v rechargeable impact wrench which is handy but the clarke mains powered is the boss £ 70 ish . My eldest has a 24v Sealey impact wrench which he rates . He is a full time mechanic so it gets some use .

The first two are not what you want, they are for putting screws into wood.

 

Buy the 240v unless you want to spend 5 times that on a battery version. Unless you have an air line then you have more choice.

Another vote for the the Clarke 240V corded one, it simply can't be beaten for value for money.

 

If you need a cordless one, sell a kidney and buy a Milwaukee 18V Fuel impact driver, pricey but totally excellent.

dewalt 18v cordless one with 5ah battery, used to have a milwaukee but batteries died, the dewalt is worlds better

I have the 18v dewalt. It's never struggled. Never used a different one though so nothing to compare it too. Not a massive fan of dewalt tools anymore but had this one around 12 years and never let me down.

Don't get mixed up between impact wrenches and impact drivers. The first two you link too are the latter and has been said for screws. I have a larger impact driver (150 NM) and it can manage smaller nuts of say 13mm but would not reach for it for anything that was stuck.
