Electric saws and other stuff.

We had a husqvarna electric chainsaw on a job this week and have to saw I was impressed. Biggest thing was lack of noise and easy communication on an awkward rigging job.

Think I'm going to buy an electric battery chainsaw.

So ladies and gentlemen, what do others think of these tools and what are the pros and cons of the different brands?

Thanks

David

Well I never, never new things like that existed..

Must need a long airline for those lol...

Those tools were powered by a compressor via an integrated hose and lifeline.

A dynamic form of SRT, a winch acting as a Hobbs. The climber has no tail.

An old climber's salvation in the making?

The initial cost seems expensive, if you get two battery's could you get away with just one battery for day to day use ? Also how long does the oil last as with normal saws the fuel runs out first so topping the oil happens instictivly?

Good point, would be easy to get 'in the zone' and forget to refill the chain oil.
