Tiny echo!

Elbows playing up today so just ordered one of these echos from skyland as always had good service from them 👍🏻

 

Shame it's bank holiday so won't get it till Tuesday!

I've been exactly the same but watched some vids showing the echo being faster, the stats show bigger engine and less weight and also a 2 year warranty. Don't think there's a wrong choice but gather the stihl needs mods to keep up with the 2510 so all of those reasons swung it

I posted a video on the arbtalk FB page yesterday comparing the 2. Admittedly the echo was a touch sharper than the stihl but the stihl was 5-6 seconds slower than the echo. On sharp chains it would be closer but with both saws standard I don't see the stihl being able to keep up with the echo and as above...the echo is smaller, lighter and more powerful

I picked up and used a 150t today, for the first time in two weeks since I've had the echo.

 

Never thought I'd think of the 150 as heavy, bulky and slow beforehand!

i had a look the other day and the exhaust has been braised shut, looks like a bit of surgery with some sort of dremil type tool to get it open ? not ready to do that to my saw yet.... haha

I looked at mine. I'm presuming you're thinking of removing the CAT?

 

I figured a slit disc to open it, braise it shut.

 

That said, I "lost" the spark screen and it's retaining screw, and it's almost abnormally loud already. You know about it if you're not wearing earmuffs.

 

It's alien for me to say, but I don't know if it needs more power!
