Thats a tidy Tractor and Trailer by the way , what sort of productivity do you get out of it ? .

Ah I don't use it in woodlands yet. Only use the trailer gets is to haul the wood from the lower field back to the farm as a lot of our wood is now bought in but the lories cant get in the yard so have to have them dropped in the field.

Its a good video, maybe could be improved by some of the minor tweaks others have suggested.

If you are felling trees as part of a hedgerow managment scheme could be worth a mention - get across that you are recyling rather than exploiting.

"As good as Kiln Dried" is definitely the wrong message - but already covered in the thread.

Cheers

Hi liked the video ,just wondered how you stop the logs from going mouldy in your drying shed as when we used this method we had a mould problem as there was not enough air flow. What quanties do you sell yuor logs in as the truck in the video looked to be loaded with two different amounts.

cheers chris

Hi Chris.

Never have had problems with mould in the sheds. The sides of the sheds are slatted and double slatted each side of the internal uprights. I leave gaps between each row plus a pallet for the floor. The load in the truck was 1m3 but 12" logs so they didn't seem that many when tipped out. Wish I had put the shorter length in. We also do a 2 cube load with greedy boards.

Thanks all for the comments. Really helpful :thumbup1:
