Ive used a 150 gm and wasnt impressed. Im not keen on sideways rollers. We put some fir through it and the lad didnt sned fully so was a 6" piece with a 1/2" stub sticking up and it wouldnt take it as fouled the top! Also feed hopper metal made out of cheese and had been dented etc through use and the chipper hasnt seen much use.

I need to have a better look at the tw230

I currently use the jensen a530 and think its great.

Maybe a jensen a540 the way forwards?

My cousin had one and I noticed the same thing when I used it. Thought it pulled in well but it never threw the chips far enough, was on a transit and the chips had to be shovelled forward. I've also got a Jensen and never had to shovel once!

I don't know why they're not mentioned more, all seems to be tw or forst these days, are the newer shape jensens not up to it anymore?

Having used all the above options I have to say the tw230 is the better machine. I owned a Jensen 530 before and if your looking to upgrade you ll see a vast improvement over a 530 and the other options mentioned. Or wait for the new tw 190 replacement that will be very interesting.
