I've been on a zz2 since its release and I have had no issues. In my opinion the cracks in the links are down to a climber error as apposed to the link being flawed

I have never had or used a zig zag, why you think its flawed through misuse rather than design?, Climber error? what error? side loading it?

I believe it's simply side loading. I'm careful with mine because I believe this and haven't had an issue but due to its design It wouldn't be difficult to side load it and if I did crack mine I would hold my hands up and say it's my fault. Something as simple as pulling too tight around a branch/stem or decending over a limb for a redirect or something like that could easily side load it without you even realising

funny how its only the people using the zig zag that are commiting these " climber errors" as you put it, as far as i know no other climbing hardware keeps cracking in the tree.

i can appreciate that you have got on well with yours and it hasnt cracked, but a lot have.

mine included after a week or two of gentle climbing, my mates is years old and is fine and would certainly been bashed and bent more than my one.
