Talking of " back in the day " I went to watch a band in the local collage called Stackridge . Had seen them a couple of times and quite liked them . This evening they had a support band called Genesis  with a lead singer called Peter Gabriel . It cost 50p . Don't know what happened to Stackridge but I think the support band did a bit ....

I'm almost certain I saw them ,, with Wishbone Ash, I'v seen Wishbone Ash  a few  times since then , even part of security at one gig.

never saw Stackridge again.
