I was thinking of similar but using hydraulics instead of electric, maybe fashion something out of parts from the tracked version!?

often thought about this myself, usually when pushing it up a sloping drive or getting it up ramps into shed.

have a front tow hitch for these purposes but it would be a damn sight easier with electric motors fitted!

The main reason I need one is for putting it away at night. Tight lane with boggy ground each side the van keeps getting stuck. Car can do it fine but it's a fad swapping daily. Just thought it would be easier to move itself. Also would be handy on tight driveways etc

It has been done a few times. You could it using your chippers hydraulic flow, a pair of motors on swing away brackets and a couple of valves. Or find an easier yard!
