Just out of interest on a large splitter like that could you just whack a long row of rung up logs that are 8" long and split 10-15 lumps in one push, or do the logs fly/fall of the log deck

So long as they are cut pretty straight and sit nicely together, they will be fine, if they are cut like door wedges you will have problems.

One downside of the Binderberger Gigant 40 is that the strengthening bar restricts the size if trunk that you can split with it. I have one and so found out at my expense,be WARNED!! The Ryetec type 40/50 tonne splitter looks to score in that way.

I fancy a cone splitter for my 3 tonner to save back ache. I don't sell logs but I do plenty of horrible big Sitkas that customers would want split up if I wanted the task.

Cone splitter can be messy especially with knotty wood, tears it and can waste a lot of timber while a splitter Cuts it and can control with a wedge the size of billets you want. There's pros and cons for both.
