I think this works 2 fold.. If you use the wrong spout (when using combi cans) it won't matter if you put petrol in the oil reservoir as much as it will matter if you put chain oil in the fuel reservoir!!!

 

 

You'd think so but I once put oil in the petrol tank on an echo top handle as its where the oil is on a 200t. It ran like that for oo 2-3 seconds before it got the hump and died, but flushed it through and was as good as gold!

Ha! I did it on my 150!! I rinsed it out as best as poss but it smoked like a goodun for the whole job!

Coz you will never run the bar and chain dry by forgetting the oil . If you put the fuel in first there is a chance of doing this .

 

I've never done that & I always put fuel in first. Although there may have been an occasion or 2 over the years where I was distracted by someone/something & forgot to screw the oil cap back on the saw & dumped a tank full of oil on the ground when I picked it up before I realised. It comes out a lot faster than it goes in.
