Hi mate was told I couldn't fit to a td5? I just wanted it on the bonnet, when I get chance I will get a roof rack for all my other junk.in summer I go to shows with my tractor and end up taking all sorts of crap.

I have mine on the bonnet (300tdi) and it's a pain in the backside, it throws your judgement of the nearside front corner, as said you get used to it but it can be annoying in tight spots.

Mine has HD checker plate and the bonnet stay is different (beefier one piece)

Did the older land rovers have a slight recess in the bonnet the shape of the wheel to keep its height down, to help visibility.

Would the wheel be quite high up on a td5, do they have a bit of a bulge in the bonnet?

After a certain year they couldn't be fitted on the bonnet for visibility / safety issues, probably some EU ruling.

If you do fit it and find it obstructive then have a smaller wheel/tyre combo fitted to improve things, others did that and said it made things easier.

Craddocks used to sell a kit for the bonnets of td5's, could be worth checking them out.
