The J Caird, the white boat in the picture IS a different boat. It is a famous museum piece with a story. Mine looks different as it is clinker built. The second pic is mine, showing the top view.

im really new to milling and had been wondering what to do with the first cut which is nothing more than bark with a thin layer of wood i dont like to waste anything so here is what a come up with. i also done some of the smaller bits as house numbers etc.

im not the greatest carver but i was going for a really rustic look with the carving marks left in.

Milled these down from 4" this morning, very happy with what was revealed. Didn't remember the burr being as prominent when I originally milled it about 4 years ago.
