Best way to clean carabiners??

The simple fact is that it matters little what you use to lube the biner, as soon as you drag it round the first tree, it will be full of crud and need cleaning anyhow.

 

Silicone spray works well and seems to attract less airborne crud, graphite powder is similarly ok but use it frugally or it can gunk up particularly in the damp.

 

Lube spray is great for cleaning biner mechanisms.
