No right answer here... cheap and recommend?????

It's going to be all about opinions rather than facts.

Either decide on your budget and shop around carefully within that budget OR

decide what you really need, find out the price and work out how to raise the money.

We all know what you mean but these threads often degenerate into a mud slinging session against hated machines (which are loved by others).

What is your budget? That will at least give us all a chance to contribute.

Steer well clear of e bay. When I was searching I rang up about 3 different chippers in different parts of the country. The same nice Romanian chap answered the phone. I can't work out how he lives and works in England Wales and Scotland all at the same time

Also can you tow more than 750kg?

I'll be selling my Vermeer 935i 9'' woodchipper soon. It's 50hp, has some spares with it and has 900 something hrs. £5000 no vat.

I was thinking a bit cheaper, 6", unknown hours (new ignition panel) but runs well, no stress control.

Cheap and cheerful are not words that should be associated with a machine under so much stress . Cheap chippers exist ....and can be found easily . Although your repair /maintenance bill maybe more than the original purchase price .
