some of you may know i'm new ish to this forum and the arb world, after reading quite alot of posts on here i have realized i have only scratched the surface. in some of your posts you use some words i'm not familiar with ,could someone please translate some of the slang that you use, thanks all.

 

zubat

gaff/s - (spike's maybe)

GRCS

ddd trees

 

and any others i should know please.

zubat is a type of hand saw manufactured by silky

gaffs are spikes

grcs is a type of lowering bollard that can also lift the rigged section

ddd in relation to trees is dead diseased and dangerous

 

or is it dead dying or and dangerous?!

zubat - a model of arborist handsaw, the zubat features a curved blade which is more efficient, and looks much cooler. :D

gaff/s - (spike's maybe) Yep. Specifically the pointy spike which is attached to the frame

GRCS - Good Rigging Control System

ddd trees - diseased, damaged, disordered (?)

 

Josh is probably closer than I am on that last one.
