Storage

I store my saws somewhere else - as do most of us.

I use secret security measures which only I know about.

Basic rules are

1. Keep location secret

2. In case of secrecy failure (and anyway).. use loads of physical security.

3. Make it so any attempted unlawful removal is as noisy and time-consuming as possible.

4. Every time theres a theft mentioned on here you must say how you would like to turn into Bruce Willis and skin the perpetrators alive etc. etc.

I did try to be a bit helpful though the initial question seemed a tad mis-worded.

If I understand correctly Bird you are enquiring about what way you store them rather than security measures, basically due to the odd shape of the chainsaw.

I keep my small ones together with the bars going through the each others handle, this is placed in a cabinet which is bunded so any leaks are contained, similar to a pesticide cabinet. So they don't take up too much space that way and are ready when required. My big saw has the smallest bar on to fit at the back of the cabinet so it is still ready for work in an emergency but I have the other size bars with the chains on them in their scabbards at hand depending on the job.

These along with the other sharp dangerous things are not stored with rakes and shovels etc. but in a more secure facility nuff said on that!!!

Hope that is helpful.
