Hedgehog rescue

Just had to quickly make a hedgehog home as the local animal charity hospital were needing some rehomed so picked up a couple of them on the way home.

Found some off cut sarking boards and some leftover roofing felt and hey presto one hedgehog home.

Will post a pic soon of the hogs getting placed in their new home.

Good for you, little fellas could use a hand.

Last year's whilst driving along a country road I happened across a hedgehog struggling along entangled in green netting that gets used in gardens.

I popped him in the truck, got him home and managed to cut it off the exhausted creature.

I put him in the corner of the garden, cracked an egg and put it under his nose then left him alone. Went back 20 minutes later, the egg was eaten up and he had slipped away.

I also blew a mole to pieces with my "detauper" that afternoon so it's swings and roundabouts for nature with me I guess!

Haven't seen a hedgehog for years and years and used to see them regularly as a lad.

It's sad so much of our wildlife is disappearing before our very eyes.... it's not being taken seriously enough. baaaaaah!!!

That's why this is one of my favorite adverts, so simple but true.
