I don't mean to criticise Steve. I just don't see the volume of items being put up for sale that there were a couple of years back. Plus the last couple of things I sold that were advertised there, I missed messages as it doesn't notify me by email or notify me from the main Arbtalk page.

I agree, the integration isn't the best and am looking at new alternatives, easier said than done though.

More to the point, does anyone want my bloody Navara?! 80k, excellent condition, £7500 plus VAT. It's on Arbtrader, but I don't think many people look at it anymore.

Is this the same truck that you slated almost to death on here because you had no end of problems with it?

Only picked it up yesterday and it's going back in tomorrow for a couple of teething issues (central locking not working on passenger side rear door, engine management light comes on intermittently and a very minor knocking from the front suspension bushes over broken surfaces). It's 6 years old with 85k on the clock, so I was expecting something. It is wonderful to drive and extremely quiet and fast. Not hitched a trailer up to it yet, or taken it off road yet.

Needs a new door lock common fault but cheap part at £70. I don't think they replace just bushes they cut the whole wishbone in half with a grinder and chuck it away. New wish bone about £130 + vat + fitting. Eml is probably turbo actuator starting to stick open when you give it some welly. Not sure if a squirt of wd 40 will help it that's if you can see it or get to it.

I bid 20 k on the land crusier which was 3 k more than it was booked. I think he may have been a bit of an odd bod as he sold it into Tanzania and they are hard to deal with.

It is indeed, though thankfully for me, it's been nearly faultless for the last two years, since coming out of warranty. Hell of a lot of issues initially though.

The LR is going back in after Christmas for the niggles.

Well the Landrover was fun, but given that we no longer need a 4x4 (not doing much, if any work requiring off road driving) we've traded it in for a 65 plate Citroen C4 Grand Picasso. Dad mobile extraordinaire, but it's top of the range so many toys (to go wrong, I expect).

The Landrover had new tyres all round, timing belt and service, front wheel bearings and discs, new fuel sender unit (that one left us stranded when it went) and new brake lines. Probably not the most expensive LR ownership experience, but still a little sore. Proof of the pudding was taking it to the dealership at 24mpg and driving the new Citroen back at 56mpg!

Low cost motoring, here we come :D
