i would have thought that steel could damage the barrel with extended use???

 

 

when i went on a stag do 10 years ago i got 38 out of 40 clays having never physically seen a gun before so was rather chuffed.

 

i'd like to try it again to see if it was a fluke or skill but how can you shoot clays without showering the countryside with lead?

Not used steel my self Mark as I don't shoot the marsh any more but I have heard that the steel tends to go through rather than flatten out like the lead and quarry can fly on a bit .

 

 

That and the fact it's simply too light, doesn't retain enough grunt down range.

I don't shoot geese any more, and would rarely raise my gun to a duck these days.

Old, soft and sentimental.
