Obviously forst are the manufacturers but are they also the suppliers?

If not id cut out the middle man-in this case suppliers-and go straight to forst.

Failing that,go to the press,big companies hate negative press.

I'm surprised they don't have a presence on here, the other manufacturers seem to? Either way it seems bad they've not taken care of you as I've only seen positive reviews of their customer service

The chipper was purchased directly from Forst (Redwood) and I have always dealt directly with them. I have evidence of quite a few others who have purchased Forst chippers and that have been dissatisfied with its break downs and the service received.

 

Its amazing how quickly and how high other manufactures jump at any negative feedback or issues that occure but maybe Forst arent bothered?

There was a thread a while back where the chap had problems with his timberwolf 230 and they were on it and he had a replacement tracked one while they worked on it within the day!

Must say, judging by what I've read on here I thought the sun shone out of Forst's exhaust.

Not great service from redwood it appears especially when you think there's a 3 year warranty. I would have thought they would replace like for like or honour the sale and do everything they can to get it fixed and have a happy customer. After all a chipper is one of the most important tools for us and down time costs a lot in man hrs on the job and reflects apon other jobs lined up.

Is it paid in full? if not stop the payments until its resolved, the payments can then be used to hire a chipper thats reliable. Constant breakdowns can be demoralising, good luck.

Ask them for a replacement while yours is being repaired, at least they should grant you this courtesy.

If the machine is on finance, stopping the payments is just going to get you in trouble with the finance company not the manufacturer.

 

Down that road lies a damaged credit rating.
