Nick

I can get pretty much any bulk product loaded into a lorry for £1.50/t maximum.

You are charging £26/ton for what you call free wood. Even without the loading charge it would be £24.50/t. I can get chip delivered from East Suffolk to Middlesborough for £25/t which makes your local haulage charge extremely high.

You gave the rate for the haulage, all I have done is to comment that I think the haulage rate based on your figures is extremely high.

It may have been better if you had worded the title "firewood off cuts £15/t, delivery extra.

The lorry needs to earn £650 a day min or I might as well leave it on job it's doing

Haulage rate is based on there and coming back empty!

If I can get load scrap coming back that's my bonus which isn't likely to happen for next six months min!

It's a 4 hour round trip with forklift to load.

We use a 2 cubic meter riddle bucket to load with so minimal crap in load.

That takes an extra hour to load compared with normal grain bucket.

£160 min to load.

We get that to load a stobsrt lorry with chip which takes 2 hours round trip

The timber is free!

Anyone wants to send a lorry in and pay me £160 to load that's fine.

It's not my timber so won't be loadin for nothing.

Have 9 loads to do so can't be that bad a deal!

I think this is a case of if you think his charge is too steep don't buy from him or bother commenting. He didn't ask "is my loading/delivering charge too much" he asked if anyone wanted the wood for free plus his haulage charge.

Bravo

I charge £35 per hour for forklift and would load a lorry in a lot less than an hour so I think your loading charge is a bit steep.even including travel time 4 hours is a nonsense

No disrespect

Your in Scotland

We charge £55 hr for tele handler down here.

Yes I could load in less than hour if u want all the **** that's been pushed up with it over last yr.

But I put 1/4 bucket full in at time.

Shake the crap out it so it falls through the riddle.

Tip that on the concrete pad.

Same again till there's good pile there then get good bucket load and in bulker.

The yard where timber is stored is good 45 mins away from us!

There's lot ***** on here seem to no everything but no **** all by looks it.
